I have just finished weathering an narrow gauge steam locomotie, Forney in On30 (1:48 scale) made from Bachmann. It’s a lovely little engine and will be featured in the next issue of the Swedish modeling magazine “Allt om Hobby”.

Nice work on the Forney Andreas, are you Planning a layout? I’d like to know more on your weathering techniques as well.
Travis
Thanks Travis!
Yes someday I will start a layout. I will see what I can do, I might write something up soon on the weathering 🙂
Andreas,
Fantastic work. I know nothing about trains or model railroads but your work makes me want to pick up an engine and give this a try.

Hi Charles!
Thanks for the comment! 🙂 I envy you for living in Florida!
The engine is produced by Bachmann trains Bachmanntrains.com and comes with sound already installed. Look under on30 scale and you will find it. The engine comes painted and detailed in the box and yes only the weathering was applied (and some minor details).
You can e-mail them at hobby.se and I’m sure they will help you out 🙂
Cheers!
Andreas
Great weathering work. And I really like your photos of the small Chinese locos, I have already ordered a mechanism so I can scratch build one. Sites like yours inspire us all to do better work, keep it up!
Peter
Thank you Peter! Glad the site could inspire you! 🙂
